Desserts that DON’T require baking
A dessert that doesn’t require any baking but still looks impressive to the in-laws you say? We hear you. We have devised a list of minimum effort, maximum output desserts just for you. Tried and tested on our own parents/in-laws/brothers/sisters/pet poodles, these fool-proof recipes will make you ‘hostess with the mostess’! Serves 4
Rich real-dairy vanilla ice-cream
Fresh mint leaves and raspberry coulis for decoration
- Remove each muffin entirely from the packaging, including the paper muffin case, and slice in half.
- Place each muffin segment under a preheated grill until lightly toasted. Approximately 3 minutes. (Times will vary depending on how powerful your grill is)
- Carefully remove each muffin segment from the grill. Oven gloves are firmly advised.
- Place two muffin segments on a serving plate (slate plates look super chic), leaving a gap in the middle for a scoop of the vanilla ice-cream.
- Decorate each dessert with mint leaves and raspberry coulis on the side.....enjoy!

Tall Sundae Glass
Long Stemmed Spoons
- Crumble two or three Oaty Biscuit Bites, depending on how big your serving glass is, into the bottom of the sundae glass.
- Place a scoop of the vanilla ice-cream on top.
- Continue layering in this fashion with the following combination: Belgian chocolate shortbread bites, salted caramel ice-cream, chocolate chip cookie bites, rich chocolate ice-cream.
- Squirt some whipped cream on top and decorate with the cherry and grated chocolate.

One brownie per person

White Chocolate for melting
Fresh Raspberries
- Break white chocolate into small pieces and place into a heatproof bowl.
- Sit over a pan of barely simmering water (a bain marie) and allow the chocolate to melt, stirring occasionally.
- Whilst the chocolate is melting, remove the brownie from the packaging, slice in half/in thirds and place both on a serving plate.
- Once the chocolate has melted, drizzle over the brownie slices and add a couple of raspberries around the plate.

- Remove each of the delicious treats from their outer packaging.
- Slice the Chocolate Tiffin and Brownie into small bite-size squares.
- Place one of each treat onto a small serving plate and serve with a cappuccino.
Sticky Toffee Surprise
One muffin per person
Sugar ‘n’ Spice Indulgent Sticky Toffee Muffin
200ml double cream
700ml whole milk
3 tbsp cornflour
4 large egg yolk
200g caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Alternatively, you can buy premade custard and heat in the microwave.
- Put the cream and milk into a large pan and gently bring to just below boiling point. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk the yolks, cornflour, sugar and vanilla. Gradually pour the hot milk mixture onto the sugar mixture, whisking constantly.
- Wipe out the saucepan and pour the mixture back into it. Heat gently, stirring with a wooden spoon until the custard is thickened, but before any lumps form.
- Remove the muffin from all of its packaging, including the paper case, place in a microwaveable bowl and heat for a maximum of 30 seconds.
- Pour over the custard and serve immediately.
